Fantastic Mr. Fox

After 12 years of marriage, Mr. Fox breaks a promise to his wife and raids the farms of their human neighbors, Boggis, Bunce and Bean. Giving in to his animal instincts endangers not only his marriage but also the lives of his family and their animal friends. When the farmers force all of the animals deep underground, Mr. Fox has to resort to his craftiness to rise above the opposition.

Stuart Little by E.B. White

When the Littles go to an orphanage to adopt a new family member, a charming young mouse named Stuart is chosen. While George is doesn't like his new brother at first, the family cat, Snowbell, is even more unhappy about having a mouse as his "master" and plots to get rid of him.

Paddington

After a deadly earthquake destroys his home in the rainforest, a young bear makes his way to England in search of a new home. The bear, dubbed "Paddington" for the London train station, finds shelter with the family of Henry and Mary Brown.

Although Paddington's amazement at urban living soon endears him to the Browns, someone else has her eye on him: Taxidermist Millicent Clyde has designs on the rare bear and his hide.

Martha Speaks series

This mashup video contains two favorite characters of children's literature - Martha and Arthur.

Martha Speaks was the first book written in the Martha series.  It is also a popular program on PBSKids.  You can find these books at E MED in the Everybody fiction section in the library pit area.


Meet Tomie dePaola
